This kitchen was designed with entertaining in mind. The home's former kitchen was small and isolated from the party life. Linda Williams of Hahka Kitchens was well aware of the problems and quickly realized that some wall changes would create the solutions.
A wall between the dining room and kitchen was removed and the laundry was relocated to the garage. This created a big space in which to add elements. Party zones were established during the planning process so storage and countertop areas could quickly become identified as stations for appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts.
Cherry cabinets were selected to complement the owner's antique furniture and engineered wood floors unite the formal areas. A new skylight in the Formal Dining room adds a dramatic touch with a burst of sunshine in the day and indirect lighting at night.
